Hi Everyone. My name is Elaine and I am grateful to have been a part of this online community by reading messages here over the past while. I am currently a student at the University of Alberta and am studying Psychology. I am trying to learn more about what it is like for teens who reach out for support and am interested in hearing from you about your experiences. The Youthone program has allowed me to write a message here to you to ask if anyone is willing to chat with me some time to tell me about your experiences of reaching out. I hope to learn from your stories and use them to help other students, teachers, and counsellors understand what it can be like for a youth who is looking for support as well as helping them understand the best ways that they can be of support to you. If you decide that you want to chat with me, you will remain anonymous just like you do on the site - you will use a made up name and email address and the interview will be a chat here on the website.
If you are willing, please contact youthone@thesupportnetwork.com and you will get a Youthone email address to use for this!
Sometimes sharing our painful experiences can be hard... I'm not part of the Youthone team myself, but if you want to talk please use Crisis Chat during the posted operating hours, or call the Distress Line at (780) - 482-4357 (HELP). |
